This past August, 2025, I started as the 2025-2026 Pratt Institute School of Information, Linked Open Data Fellow at the Museum of Modern Art at MoMA Library/Archives, under Jonathan Lill, Head of Metadata and Systems.
Linked Open Data (LOD) is an important area of metadata management, involving the use of persistent identifiers and structured data to enhance data interoperability and discoverability. In this position, I am developing linked open data models and preparing data for publication. Some of the tools I’m using include Wikidata, SPARQL, Microsoft Access, and OpenRefine.
One of the first projects I am working on is formalizing exhibition schema on Wikidata, extending from the work of previous Pratt Institute LOD Fellows on creating data models for exhibitions. See their current Requests for comment/Exhibition models.
As a M.S. in Library and Information Science graduate student at Pratt Institute, School of Information, this will help me complete my Internship requirements for the Archives Specialization. This project also continues my 10+ years of engagement with Wikimedia projects. I was formerly Wikipedian-in-Residence for the Metropolitan New York Library Council back in 2013-2015.
